Decentralized GPU inference network for AI agents

Flop Labs, led by BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes as CEO, is building Flop Network and the FLOP token for the AI agent economy. Its Proof-of-Useful-Inference consensus has miners supply GPU compute to run AI inference instead of hashing, while validators verify computation and store agent memory, and agents pay FLOP for services. At its Token2049 launch event the team said testnet opens in late October or early November for about 90 days, with mainnet in Q1 2027. A quarter of the 10-year FLOP supply goes to testnet participants, the top 1,000 testnet validators get their stake covered, and there is no token sale: FLOP can only be mined or bought from miners.
