Zeus Network is a decentralized communication layer designed to enhance interoperability between blockchains, particularly Bitcoin and Solana. It bridges Bitcoin's security and liquidity with Solana's speed and affordability, allowing seamless cross-chain value transfers. Unlike other interoperability solutions like Wormhole, Zeus focuses on integrating Bitcoin with Solana for its initial project, providing decentralized solutions such as liquid staking, NFT tools, and cross-chain lending.
At the heart of Zeus Network's functionality are two components: the Zeus Layer and the Zeus Program Library (ZPL). The Zeus Layer consists of decentralized nodes that handle peer-to-peer communication, transaction verification, and broadcasting between the chains. Verifiers, who stake SOL tokens, secure the network and ensure consensus. ZPL acts as the interface for developers, allowing the creation of fungible and non-fungible assets compatible across blockchains.
Zeus Network enables Bitcoin assets to be transformed into Solana-compatible ZPL-assets like zBTC, zRuneX, and zOrdX. This allows Bitcoin holders to leverage Solana’s ecosystem for borrowing, lending, and NFT trading. Its decentralized app, APOLLO, facilitates liquid staking, providing more ways to engage in cross-chain financial activities while keeping assets secure.
