Waves is a Proof-of-Stake blockchain that empowers users to easily create and launch custom crypto tokens without requiring complex smart contract functionality.
Waves, launched in June 2016, is a blockchain platform that operates using a unique consensus mechanism called Leased Proof of Stake (LPoS). LPoS is a modified version of Proof of Stake that enables lite wallet users to participate in block validation by leasing their WAVES tokens to mining nodes. By leasing their tokens, these users can earn a portion of the block rewards if their chosen node becomes a validator.
