Synapse
[SYN]

Synapse is a cross-chain bridge for EVM networks.

Synapse is a decentralized cross-chain protocol designed to enable seamless communication, asset transfers, and smart contract interactions across multiple blockchain networks, including both EVM and non-EVM chains. It provides a universal interoperability solution that allows users and developers to move assets, data, and NFTs across layer 1, layer 2, and sidechain ecosystems efficiently and securely. Synapse features a cross-chain automated market maker (AMM) and liquidity pools to minimize price slippage during swaps.

The protocol’s flagship product is the Synapse Bridge, which supports over 15 major blockchains such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, and more. It uses a hybrid bridging approach combining canonical token bridging (for wrapped assets) and liquidity-based bridging (for native tokens) alongside request-for-quote (RFQ) methods to optimize transaction speed and cost. Synapse also operates the Synapse Chain, an Ethereum-based optimistic rollup that acts as a sovereign execution environment for cross-chain smart contracts, enabling developers to build natively cross-chain applications.
