Swell Network is a liquid staking protocol for Ethereum.
Swell Network is a decentralized, non-custodial Ethereum liquid staking protocol that allows users to stake any amount of ETH without the traditional 32 ETH minimum. Upon staking, users receive swETH, a yield-bearing token representing their staked ETH plus accrued rewards. This token can be freely traded or used across DeFi protocols, enabling users to earn additional yield without locking their capital. Swell also offers restaking through rswETH, allowing users to earn extra rewards by securing other networks via protocols like EigenLayer and Symbiotic.
The protocol emphasizes decentralization and security by letting users choose validators directly, fostering a competitive and transparent staking environment. Swell operates permissionlessly, maintaining user control over assets and reducing risks associated with centralized custody. The native governance token, SWELL, is used for protocol governance, restaking, and as gas fees on Swell’s Layer 2 network, enhancing transaction efficiency and incentivizing network participation. Swell aims to democratize Ethereum staking, making it accessible to a broader audience and supporting network security and decentralization.
