mETH Protocol is a liquid staking and restaking platform on the Mantle Layer 2 and Ethereum ecosystems.

mETH Protocol (Mantle Staked Ether) is a liquid staking and restaking solution built on Ethereum and powered by the Mantle Network, a modular Layer 2 scaling solution. When users stake ETH through the mETH Protocol, they receive an equivalent amount of mETH tokens as a receipt, which represent both the staked principal and accumulated staking rewards. This allows users to maintain liquidity and freely transfer or manage their staked assets while earning yield from Ethereum’s Proof-of-Stake network. The protocol is non-custodial and permissionless, ensuring users retain control of their assets at all times.

mETH generates yield from Ethereum’s block issuance rewards, priority transaction fees, and Maximal Extractable Value (MEV), with a portion of rewards allocated to validator operators and system maintenance to ensure sustainability. The protocol also offers cmETH, a restaking token that allows users to gain additional yield by participating in restaking strategies on protocols like EigenLayer and Symbiotic. mETH and cmETH tokens are highly composable within the Mantle ecosystem, enabling use in DeFi applications such as decentralized exchanges, money markets, and cross-chain bridges.
