Humanity[H]
Humanity is a zkEVM Layer 2 blockchain built on Polygon's Chain Development Kit (CDK) that implements the world's first decentralized Proof-of-Humanity consensus mechanism using palm recognition technology.
Humanity addresses the challenge of distinguishing real humans from bots in the Web3 ecosystem by providing a secure, privacy-preserving identity verification system. Users verify their identity through non-invasive palm print scanning, supported by zero-knowledge proofs that ensure privacy without exposing sensitive biometric data. This infrastructure enables the creation of Self-Sovereign Identities (SSI) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs), allowing users to prove attributes such as age or employment while maintaining privacy.
The H token is the native utility token of the Humanity Protocol, used to incentivize validators, zkProofers, and developers, and serves as the currency for transactions and governance within the ecosystem. With a total supply of 10 billion tokens, the protocol supports decentralized governance, staking, and ecosystem rewards. Humanity Protocol aims to become foundational infrastructure for human-verified Web3 applications, driving diverse real-world and digital use cases that require secure and Sybil-resistant identity verification.
