Former X product chief and current advisor Nikita Bier confirmed that direct crypto buy and sell buttons are coming to X, aiming to let users trade without leaving the platform.

X’s existing Cashtags feature already embeds Solana and Ethereum price charts into posts, while the upcoming trading buttons could make crypto purchases and sales directly accessible from the app.

Bier also attributed the recent market rally to U.S. Treasury moves rather than X product changes and rejected claims that the platform is suppressing crypto-related voices.

The rollout has sparked excitement over easier crypto onboarding, while users are questioning the launch timeline, regulatory framework and which assets beyond ETH and SOL could be supported.
