The Interfold Launches Network Alpha on Mainnet
The Interfold has launched Network Alpha, bringing its confidential coordination protocol to mainnet.
The Interfold enables independent parties to produce shared, verifiable outcomes from private inputs without exposing sensitive data or relying on trusted hardware.
The network coordinates Encrypted Execution Environments (E3s) through distributed ciphernode committees, which collectively handle key generation and threshold decryption. No single ciphernode holds the full decryption key or can independently control the result.
E3s are private “workspaces” for calculations. Different companies or users can put their sensitive data into the same computation without revealing the actual data to each other. The system then produces a result that everyone can verify.
Ciphernodes act like a group of independent security guards. They jointly create and control the encryption key. No single node has the whole key, so one operator cannot secretly decrypt the data or manipulate the result.
FOLD is now transferable and acts as the bond for future ciphernode operators, with additional utility through governance locking.
