OpenSea Adds Solana NFT Trading, More Than Four Years After Its Beta
OpenSea has added Solana NFT trading, letting users buy, sell, and trade the network's collectibles more than four years after a short-lived 2022 beta. Solana is the first non-EVM chain to regain NFT support since that program closed.
Users can now trade popular Solana collections including Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, BoDoggos, Collector Crypt, and Phygitals directly on OpenSea. The 2022 beta covered just 165 collections and gained little traction, ceding most Solana NFT volume to Magic Eden and Tensor.
Solana returned to OpenSea in April 2025 with OS2, but only for fungible tokens, with the company signaling NFTs would follow. That step now completes, extending OpenSea's multichain push beyond EVM networks.
The re-entry pits OpenSea directly against the Solana-native marketplaces that built their lead while it was away.
