MoonPay and Upbit operator Dunamu team up on stablecoin payments
Dunamu, the company behind South Korea's largest crypto exchange Upbit, is looking to take its GIWA blockchain beyond its home market. MoonPay has agreed to explore a strategic collaboration with Dunamu in digital asset financial infrastructure.
The partnership covers three areas: stablecoin-based cross-border payments and fund transfers, corporate finance and treasury management, and expanding the GIWA ecosystem by linking it to MoonPay's global network. The aim is to widen overseas access to GIWA-based services and assets.
MoonPay brings more than 35 million customers in 180 countries and over 1,500 enterprise clients to the deal.
The agreement is exploratory: no product, launch date or financial terms were announced. Both firms say they will next firm up the technical and commercial potential of each area.
