Loopscale pauses protocol after attack on SOL and USDC Genesis Vaults
For the past week, the Solana credit protocol has faced a sustained campaign by a sophisticated actor, with its APIs receiving more than 30,000 malicious requests per day. After its security systems detected a sharp escalation, the team paused all protocol activity.
The attack attempts targeted the SOL and USDC Genesis Vaults. Loopscale says the affected vaults have been made whole and no user deposits incurred a loss. The team published four Solana and EVM addresses linked to the activity and is working with federal law enforcement.
Normal operations will not resume until the full scope of the campaign is established and further security hardening is in place.
The interface is set to come back online first, with repayments prioritized to limit unforeseen liquidations for borrowers while the protocol stays paused.
