GoMining opened its GoBTC Pay protocol to merchants with a Gen1 SDK and API — putting it in direct competition with Block's Square in the race for everyday BTC payments. The new product enables merchants, wallet providers, and partners to integrate Bitcoin payments into real-world products and services.

The twist: GoMining merchants receive actual Bitcoin, settled on-chain and non-custodial — where Square and most rivals convert BTC to fiat by default. The bet: businesses want to keep their BTC.

Built on GoMining's private 15 EH/s Stratum V2 mempool with ~12h settlement and a 0.2% fee split between wallets and miners; an initial ~10 merchants are onboarding. GoMining currently serves 5M users.
