CME Group launches Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures, $7.9B crypto ADV
CME Group has added two more tokens to its regulated crypto derivatives lineup. FalconX and GSR executed the first block trade in the new Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures, which now trade on the exchange's 24/7 marketplace.
The contracts extend a single-asset suite that already includes Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui futures. The 2026 expansion into Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui added nearly $2 billion in year-to-date notional value growth.
Year-to-date, CME crypto futures and options average more than 242,000 contracts a day ($7.9 billion notional), with average open interest near 240,000 contracts ($14.3 billion).
The listing reflects institutional demand moving past the largest assets toward tokens with distinct use cases: Bitcoin Cash in payments and Uniswap in DeFi. Liquidity in new single-asset contracts typically takes time to build.
