Strategy just clawed its way back to breakeven on Bitcoin

Strategy just clawed its way back to breakeven on Bitcoin

The company holds 840,447 BTC at an average cost of $75,385, about $63.4B all in. It started 2026 more than $15B in the green, then spent most of the year underwater, as deep as $8.9B in the red by July, worth less than it paid for the first time in years.

Now, with BTC back above its cost basis, that stack is green again.

20 Stocks in 20 Days: Bitget's TradFi Push

20 Stocks in 20 Days: Bitget's TradFi Push

Bitget has quietly become one of the fastest venues bringing the stock market onchain. Over the past few weeks it listed 20 stock perpetuals, from US names like PayPal, Uber and Amgen to the memory-chip complex (CXMT, Hanmi, GlobalFoundries).

The mix says it all: heavy on semiconductors and Asian tech. Crypto exchanges are no longer just listing tokens. They are racing to put equities on 24/7 perp rails, and Bitget is moving faster than most.

Rain has launched the Agentic Payments Alliance

Rain has launched the Agentic Payments Alliance

Visa, Mastercard, Fiserv, Circle, Solana, Avalanche, Uniswap Labs and 19 others, 26 in total, from card networks to stablecoins to L1s, all sitting at one table. TradFi and crypto rarely agree on anything. They just agreed on how AI agents will pay.

The alliance is a working coalition owned by no single company, set up to write the rules for agent-driven commerce: how an agent proves its identity, gets authorized to spend, and stays protected from fraud. The timing is not random.

McKinsey projects $3 to $5 trillion in agentic commerce by 2030, and everyone wants to own the rails before the agents arrive.

The biggest rank climbers in crypto's top 100 this year

The biggest rank climbers in crypto's top 100 this year

In a market where BTC fell 28%, these coins moved up the most. But climbing the ranks does not always mean growing.

Hyperliquid and Rain each added $6+B in market cap. JUST and Morpho more than doubled. Meanwhile Render, Sky and Pump fun rose in rank while losing value. They just fell slower than everyone else.

Jupiter DEX Aggregator Volume Share Drops Below 50%

Jupiter DEX Aggregator Volume Share Drops Below 50%

For the first time, Jupiter no longer routes the majority of Solana's DEX aggregator volume. On Aug 17, Jupiter routed 48.9% of Solana volume. The three challengers combined took 51.1%, and OKX led them with a record 31.3%, ahead of DFlow and Titan.

For years Jupiter simply was Solana routing. Now the market is fragmenting, and OKX is the one taking the biggest bite out of the leader.

Treasuries & ETFs Board. Crypto Accumulation & Capital Flows

Treasuries & ETFs Board. Crypto Accumulation & Capital Flows

It was a quiet, risk-off week. Bitcoin ETFs reversed the previous week's $850M+ inflows with roughly $390M in net outflows, while Ethereum ETFs were essentially flat, posting a marginal ~$2M outflow that ended their five-week inflow streak.

Corporate treasury activity was also muted. Strategy remained inactive on the Bitcoin front, focusing on cash management and share buybacks.

    Notable treasury activity:

    - H100 recorded the week's largest Bitcoin increase through an acquisition.

    - Strive, Capital B, and OranjeBTC made smaller Bitcoin purchases.

    - BitMine continued accumulating Ethereum, extending its long-running buying strategy.

x402: The Agent Payment Economy in Numbers

x402: The Agent Payment Economy in Numbers

x402 is Coinbase's standard that lets AI agents pay each other in stablecoins, no human in the loop. Over the last 30 days volume doubled to $1.3M and payments rose 63% to 13.4M. But active agents nearly halved, down 55% to 18.4K.

Average payment: about 10 cents. Machine-to-machine money. Almost all of it runs on Base (84% of agents, 64% of volume), since x402 is a Coinbase protocol. The twist: the biggest checks are on Algorand at $0.52, while Polygon is pure micro-spam at $0.03.

Still tiny at $1.3M a month. But rising volume against fewer agents is early consolidation, not the end of the trend.
