Q1: Can you introduce yourself to our community?

Hi there! I am Juli, the marketing VP from Defina. My role in Defina mainly consists of planning weekly events, establishing marketing strategies, moderating our social media accounts, and also I do AMAs to help users better understand the game and integrate into the community.

Q2: Can you introduce Defina to us?

Defina Finance is a fascinating blockchain game that combines the concept of DeFi and NFT. Players are able to buy or collect various NFT Mystery Boxes to get heroes & weapons as well as fight and enhance their champions to learn skills in numerous game scenarios. Players can participate in DeFi yield farming and earn abundant on-chain earnings while enjoying a fun and strategic card game with PVP and PVE modes.

Regarding the Defina team, our team is from all over the world. They were formally established in April. The company is headquartered in Ireland, and employees come from Ireland, Germany, the United States, Canada, Pakistan, and some regions in Asia. It is a very diverse and interesting team.

Q3: Let`s now talk about the milestones you have achieved so far and about your upcoming plans?

We can proudly say that Defina has achieved so much in such little time. We have a very lively and supportive community and they helped co-create many aspects of the game and we will continue to do so for future updates. We completed our 1st beta test with our community. We sold out on our Defina Genesis NFT in 28 seconds, we sold out 9600 Defina NFT Mystery boxes, and finished our Private Sale and IDO. We also just recently launched our Marketplace!

Moving forward, our next milestones will be:
- Defi FINA staking pools on TheForce.Trade
- A 2nd closed beta game test before the launch
- Website and whitepaper update
- Launching our official game at the end of October, available on IOS, Android, Windows and Mac. Please stay tuned!
Furthermore, we will keep adding new heroes to the game, while launching weapons and other props and equipment, as well as other gameplay, providing our players new features and updates, allowing more community governance and decentralizing game operations.

1. Do you have on-going activities that are available in your community that we can ? Are there airdrops or bounty programmes going on at the moment ?

2.A lot of people especially around South East Asia especially Malaysia, Vietnam, Phillips, Indonesia are really talking about Defina. I understand your project and game would be in English, however, do you have local community support group for specific language or audience ?

1. Most of the time we will be having an on-going event in our community. To name a few:
- Weekly giveaway partys (on every Saturday)
- Shill rewards (for each annoucement)
- Wallet Hunt (on-going right now!)
- Price Prediction Contest (just ended a contest this week)
- 2nd beta bounty bug rewards
2. Because we target global users, as a diverse team and community, we recognize that theres a need for different languages. We have regional channels to cater those who speak a different language on our Discord and regional moderators that helped with translating our marketplace. Defina welcomes you with open arms! ❤️

Defina’s vision is to bring blockchain to millions of players, allowing them to explore a new form of gaming through blockchain technology. In other to play these games, users would need to deposit funds, so what measures have you put in place to help protect these funds while interacting with the game? Have you think of carrying out auditing to help ensure that the game is safe to play?

Security and fairness is one of our top priorities. We will have several auditing firms to audit our smart contracts. As of now, Turstlook has done our first audit, it’s an audit company from Silicon Valley. Defina Finance has passed the Trustlook audit and we have fixed all issues in the smart contracts. After the first audit, we will find Knownsec and Certik for future audits as well.

For the game itself, we have an Anti-Cheating mechanism in place. Firstly, we will prevent users from using the same heroes for different accounts through a time lock of withdrawing heroes. This will eliminate users from cheating the system through transferring their heroes to other wallet addresses to play the game. Furthermore, if we detect an IP is used multiple times, we will ban the IPs. And our system will detect unusual activity of the account, such as using bot to play the game, detected accounts will be banned right away.

I've always been a fan of traditional gaming since my childhood days, most of the blockchain games still couldn't match with that of their traditional counterpart in terms of UI/Ux and over all game design. What are some of the disrupting features Defina will be bringing in to blockchain gaming to make it Unique and better than the existing ones?

One of the things that makes Defina unique in the blockchain games industry is that Defina's development team members are all from the traditional game industry. The game design and gameplay are well throughout and professional, and the game can be played on different platforms, including PC, windows, ios and Android. Comparing to other blockchain games, Defina’s design, art and professionalism far exceeds most games currently on the market. The team focuses on making the game not just play-to-earn but also fun to play. The IP design of the project is very beautiful with outstanding graphics and art.

We have two major co-founders. One founder, our gaming CEO is from the traditional gaming industry, he has a lot of game experience and he’s got a team of devs. He is a bitcoin miner as well. The other founder is a crypto hedge fund manager. So its great to have both perspectives to help Defina grow. 😊

🥇 I understand that there are two ways to refine my heroes in alchemy, could you explain how this alchemy process works? What are these two ways to refine them and when or what can I use each one for? What should I do to improve my hero?

Yes! There are two ways to refine your heroes in the alchemy both requiring $FINA.
1. Resonance
Gives your hero the chance to increase/swap an element
You need to have two heroes to perform this action.
- Primary hero: the hero that you want to enhance.
- Secondary hero: the hero that you want to use to enhance the primary hero.

2. Rebirth
Players could refine their heroes using $FINA. Refining will regenerate stats for the hero. However, there is a cap of refining hero, and it will require more $FINA/hero if the player chooses to refine the hero multiple times. The level progress and experience gained through PVE will be lost once a hero is "reborn".
This will give a chance for the hero to potentially have new:
- skill attacks
- base statistics (speed, health, critical hit and damage)
- elements

Are there any plans from the team to adopt a governance system so as to allow Defina Finance become a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO)? If there are plans, will there be a different token to be used as the governance token for the community to do proposal voting?

Juli Chung

$FINA is BEP-20 governance and utility token for the Defina ecosystem. There are multiple use cases for $FINA and it plays a very important role in both gaming and community governance.

In-game currency:
use to reward and incentive players to play the Defina gameplayers could use $FINA to purchase in-game assets, such as heroes, weapons, and consumables use in the alchemy to enhance heroesuse in the refining process to remint a new herostake in the yield farming battle pools to boost farming rewards

Governance:
The Defina team is planning to adopt a governance system to allow Defina Finance to become a decentralized autonomous organization. $FINA will be the governance token for the community to do proposal votings.

Are you currently aware of this? If yes, what efforts are you making to help ensure your users are aware of this so that they won't end up being scammed by these people?

Defina will launch its game on Q4 of 2021. Do you plan to release a Beta Version of your name of a testnet so people can try Defina Game and give you feedbacks before the actual launch?

Yes! We will have releasing a closed 2nd beta test, we fixed bugs and added suggestions from the 1st beta. we will be allowing our community memebers to try and review our game. Find bugs, Beta Bug Bounty Hunt and suggestions to improve the game for the community.

Traditional games like World of Warcraft have a marketplace but it's unorganized. How will blockchain technology in combination with Defina play-to-earn model solve this issues? What features will be supported in Defina Marketplace?

Currencies in FINA and FOC

Regarding marketing, what plans, ideas and next steps does your project have to attract investors and users? Do you intend to leverage the popularity of social media to make your Project even more popular?

Juli Chung

There will be an extensive longterm plan for marketing. Introducing new programs, collaborating with KOLs, building community, gaining partnerships, shilling Defina. Hosting more community events such as Discord contests, seasonal, holiday and monthly events.

For traditional non-crypto people, we will give out on boarding guides, tutorials and an NFT airdrops to help our traditional players to try blockchain technology and blockchain tech supported games. We also hope to reach people through their favorite content creators (Twitch streamers and Youtube Game streamers) that are from the non-crypto gaming space and let them use Defina as an introduction to the crypto world.

Besides that, we are planning to offer merchants, such as cards, hoodies and toys that use our IPs. We have a lot of community members interested in it since our IPs are very unique and attractive. They told us it would be great if they could own not just the NFT but a real merchant item. Thus, we will not only focus on building the crypto world game but also expanding our game and brand into the non-crypto world.

What are the requirements needed to start playing Defina? How much $FINA should I have in my wallet? How many NFTs do I need to have to start? Any specific type of NFT?

You will need 4 heroes to start playing Defina. Players have two ways to get heroes. One way is to purchase mystery boxes, this will give you a random hero from the pool. The cost of the Mystery Box will be a fixed price. The second way is to get heroes from the marketplace where players trade their heroes, the cost of the hero from the secondary market will depend on the seller.

✅ Can you tell us what are the game modes available in Defina Finance? Do you have a free version where players can earn rewards and then invest them in the game?

There are currently 3 gameplay modes:
Mining Mode - PVP yield farming
Arena Mode - PVP battles
Adventure Mode - PVE
