Merit Circle
Merit Circle is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) with the objective of developing the play-to-earn (P2E) economy by managing and sponsoring gamers, who then generate yield for the platform when they earn in-game rewards.
Launched in September 2021, the platform possesses its own native utility and governance token called MC, which plays a vital role in its operations. MC has an overall supply of one billion tokens. Twenty percent of the token distribution is set aside for Merit Circle's founding team and advisors, about 15 percent is earmarked for the platform's treasury, 7.5 percent is for public distribution, 29 percent is reserved for community incentives, 14 percent is set aside for early investors, and 14 percent is reserved for platform rewards.
Merit Circle supports Axie Infinity, a monster-battling play-to-earn game. The DAO also supports Star Atlas—a blockchain game, Illuvium—an alien survival game, and Hash Rush—a sci-fi/fantasy RTS Survival game. The platform has received investment from a variety of partners, including DeFiance Capital, Spartan Group, and Binance Labs.
