Standard Reserve Launches Onchain ETH Reserve
The Standard Reserve went live today, an onchain reserve protocol built around ETH flows, using an OlympusDAO-style design with a hard-capped 1B STANDARD supply.
The protocol routes ETH fees into vaults, protocol-owned liquidity and the team, and pairs STANDARD against ETH in a hooked Uniswap v4 pool. Access runs through Charters: only 1,000 Genesis Charters exist, minted free to the allowlist at launch, with further Charters and expansion licenses sold later through daily ETH Dutch auctions. Launch day is timed: the allowlist mint at 5:30 PM EST, a public Dutch auction at 8:30, then liquidity and Charter emissions from 9:00 PM. Post-mint trading opens with an anti-snipe tax that starts at 90% and decays on a five-minute half-life back to normal fees.
The model borrows from OlympusDAO, the 2021 reserve-currency experiment that peaked near a $4B market cap before collapsing roughly 98%, with the team pitching fixes meant to avoid the runaway inflation that sank it.
