Plume has launched a payroll pilot with Toku and WisdomTree, enabling employees to receive part of their salary in WTGXX, a tokenized money market fund.

Instead of full cash payouts, a portion is automatically allocated into a yield-bearing asset. The pilot begins with Plume employees to test real-world integration.

The model shifts payroll from pure cash distribution to an entry point for investing. Embedding yield exposure into salary payments removes friction and automates allocation.

This builds on stablecoin payroll but moves beyond digital cash, delivering tokenized funds at the point of payment and creating a new distribution channel that brings tokenized assets closer to everyday financial infrastructure.
