JPMorgan and Coca-Cola join 33 issuers objecting to OKXICE tokenized stocks
The tokenized stock venue planned by OKX and Intercontinental Exchange keeps losing names before launch. Seven more companies objected in an updated notice on Tuesday evening: JPMorgan, AMD, Applied Materials, Coca-Cola, Adobe, Dell and Sandisk.
Objections now cover 33 issuers, more than half of the 62 companies OKXICE initially named.
The venue filed to operate under the SEC's innovation exemption, which requires platforms to notify issuers and drop a stock if the company objects. IBM, Oracle, Intel and IonQ joined days earlier, after Microsoft, Alphabet, Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo. With most large-cap names opting out, the venue's launch list is shrinking toward a minority of the original plan.
