dtcpay Extends Series A to $25M as SBI Group Invests
Singapore stablecoin payments firm dtcpay has extended its Series A to $25 million, after Japan's SBI Group came in as a strategic investor.
The round was led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India, which had anchored an earlier $10 million tranche, with further backing from Genedant Capital and returning investor Kwee Liong Tek. SBI Group is investing through SBI Ventures Asset and the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund, framing the move as a strategic partnership to build a digital-asset payment corridor between Japan and Southeast Asia.
dtcpay, a licensed Major Payment Institution in Singapore, plans to use the capital to expand stablecoin settlement and merchant payments, adding a deep-pocketed Japanese backer as regional players race to wire stablecoins into everyday commerce.
