Crypto.com Clears SEC for US Stock Futures
Crypto.com registered with the SEC for single-stock futures, clearing the way to offer US traders futures on individual stocks through its Nadex exchange and OG.com unit.
The registration became effective on September 14 and was acknowledged by the SEC on September 16. Nadex is already registered with the CFTC as a designated contract market and clearing organization. CEO Kris Marszalek said the firm is now working with both the SEC and CFTC to launch single-stock perpetual futures, days after Coinbase filed for equity perps of its own.
The push lines Crypto.com up alongside Coinbase in a race to bring regulated US equity derivatives, and eventually stock perps, onto crypto-native rails.
