The test network of Cronos zkEVM chain, launched in a partnership with Matter Labs, can be used to spin up new Layer 2/3 “hyperchains” within Ethereum. The network uses TCRO, a testnet version of the CRO cryptocurrency, as its native token to pay transaction fees. The Mainnet is scheduled for Q2 2024.
