The round was backed by angel investors from Qatar Investment Authority, Stake, 8VC, DST Global, Visa, and Block. Lava’s earlier $10M Series A was co-led by Founders Fund and Khosla Ventures.

Alongside the raise, Lava introduced a new dollar yield product, offering up to 7.5% APY on loans backed solely by bitcoin collateral.
