Binance Cuts Commodity Perpetuals to a 24/5 Trading Schedule
Starting today, Binance cuts commodity perps to 24/5, moving its commodity TradFi perpetual contracts off around-the-clock trading to match traditional market hours.
The switch takes effect at 21:00 UTC on September 15 and covers commodity-based contracts spanning gold, silver, WTI and Brent crude, natural gas, platinum, palladium and copper. These pairs previously traded through weekends with a daily one-hour maintenance pause, which is now being removed.
Crypto perpetuals are unaffected, and equity-based TradFi perpetuals such as TSLAUSDT and INTCUSDT keep their 24/7 availability.
The move brings Binance's commodity derivatives closer to the rhythm of the assets they track, as the exchange keeps expanding a TradFi perps lineup that now spans equities, metals and energy.
