In terms of background I am an engineer from the University of Waterloo (where Vitalik went) and an MBA from The Richard IVey School of Business.

I sold my first startup stright out of my undergrad to the largest manufacturer of aerospace parts in the US (privately owned) and have build and managed many businesses in diverse industries since.

UREEQA is the most exciting venture I've been in because of the vision. Protecting the works that bind us together as people. Music, movies, photos, books and more.

My whole career has been in Biz Dev, with the last 14 years working for a Big 4 Accounting firm both in Toronto Canada and Boston, MA. This has been an amazing opportunity to work in the crypto field as it is a 180 from my time at KPMG. Q2: Can you introduce UREEQA to us?

UREEQA is a platform for Creators to protect, manage and monetize their work.

We are the only fully integrated platform from Creator -> Creation -> IP Protection -> Monetization (eg NFTs)

Validators on our platform work for our URQA token to help answer questions about the authorship, ownership and originality of works to be Validated.

This allows us to use our Responsible Minting technology to mint NFTs backed by a public and robust Package of Proof like this:

Everyday is a milestone for us at UREEQA. Honestly, I have never in my whole career seen this much activity, especially in a startup, and I used to coach startup businesses in another career
The amount of activity, awareness, interest and the statement, "...I didn't know you did that..." is incredible

Early 2020 idea was conceptualized.

We then built a transparent and experienced team with the core Founding members including an engineering gold medalist from the same university Vitalik Buterin went to, the person voted Canadian Lawyer of the year (2021), an accountant with senior management experience at multiple multi-national firms and a seasoned manager with 2 decades of experience at a Global Fortune 10 company.

We are also building a killer Advisory Board with top Hollywood agents, folks from the music industry and more.

TGE was Mar 31, 2021

Launched Closed Beta on that same day with both famous and budding creators. We even signed up the Ministry of Education from the Republic of Cyprus

We sold our internally developed NFTs to honor our avid community members with the first Crypto Kong Qard selling for $7K.

Last night we launched NFTs for Trey Mancini who missed the entire last season with the Baltimore Orioles battling stage 3 colon cancer.

Not sure if you saw but he did great and ended in 2nd place overall.

Rakan is with us and has been building a healthy pipeline of business. Now that we've put the Marketplace through its paces, we are ready to load up some exciting campaigns.

We are also working with Creators in our Public MVP and providing free level 1 protection for all works uploaded. With or without UREEQA they have proof on-chain that their work was uploaded on a specific date.

As we continue evolving bot IP Protection and Monetization sides of our business we will get into DeFi applications like IP Collateralization.

Our smart contract that mints the Collectibles stores information on-chain related to the proof of Validation.

Currently no one is asking questions about the source creative work (in NFTs) like: Who Created It? Who Owns It? Is it Original?

Are you planning to bring in non-crypto investors to your project? Because the project's success was based on attracting additional investors who were previously unaware of the cryptocurrency sector. What are your goals for non-crypto space awareness?

That is one of the greatest things about UREEQA - "nocoiners" are welcome, both as users AND investors. You can have an end-to-end experience on UREEQA without knowing anything about crypto. Our current investors are a mix of "traditional" and crypto-focused investors. One thing you can do is look at our Founders and Leadership team - we all have traditional Business backgrounds.

KYC is the first step, there is also a legal attestation that the Creator signs with an attorney on our end and originality searches performed by our Validators.

For avoiding scams I usually focus on the team. Do they have a lot to lose?

You have to ask yourself if folks like that would be likely to participate in a scam.

Creators face a lot of issues which includes bureaucracies, third party infringement, and so on. And these issues are more existence in developing countries. How can UREEQA help to solve these issues for creators?

Robert Eccles

Bureaucracy is one of the main reasons we started UREEQA! We think that it is unacceptable that getting copyright protection through traditional channels like public agencies takes weeks to months and relies on "paper documents" for the most part. At Ureeqa, we offer superior protection and we take only a few days. One of the other core reasons we started UREEQA was to make protection accessible to EVERYON EVERYWHERE - particularly in "less developed" countries.

Will they have any limitations in particular UREEQA to be able to validate the collectibles? Or can we really do any type of NFT with any utility and can it be valid without any problem?

Harsch Khandelwal

As long as we can legitimately pass the Authorship, Ownership and Originality tests the work can be Validated.

In terms of utility, as long as it passes our legal team we can offer it.

Can you tell us more about Trey Mancini Foundation NFT drop? What is it all about?

Rakan Aown

Trey is a stage 3 colon cancer survivor who missed the 2020 MLB season to battle his disease. He created a Foundation to raise money and awareness for colorectal cancer research and another charity feeding the needy children in the Baltimore community. We were approached to help launch his NFT campaign in conjunction with the All Star MLB HR Derby last night where all proceeds from the sales of his two NFTs will go to his foundation in support of those two charities. We had tons of media/press. Even Mark Cuban posted it on his IG page. What normally takes 3-4 weeks to pull off, UREEQA did it in 8 days. Unreal what our team was able to accomplish.

What do you think when 2021 ends or the covid epidemic ends, NFT-based projects will also end? Does your team currently have any plans to replace NFT?

This is far from ending, it's only the beginning. We haven't even scratched the surface on the metaverse!

I see UREEQA has UREEQA Marketplace. What speciality your marketplace has that gives you confident about It's rise between so many big companies like BINANCE NFT MARKETPLACE? Can we expect UREEQA marketplace will be bigger than those company?

Harsch Khandelwal

The space is very fragmented and no one knows how it'll shake out.

However, we are not an NFT first company. We are an IP Protection and Monetization company.

NFTs happen to be one way to monetize. There will be other ways.

When you compare our Marketplace to those, we stand out in these ways:

- Accept credit card and crypto as payment (so we can tap into existing fans)

- All items backed by a robust and public Package of Proof for the source creative work like this:

Can you tell me what steps you took to ensure that the smart contract is free of errors and vulnerabilities? The security of assets is the first thing that comes to mind for me and other investors when considering a project, so can you tell me what steps you took to ensure that the smart contract is free of errors and vulnerabilities? Is it possible to audit smart contracts?

All our smart contracts at launch (Closed Beta) were audited by CertiK.

It is important to note though that smart contracts are less than 10% of our code base. Our platform is hosted on AWS and uses full stack web dev primarily

Where does the project name come from? What does it mean for you and why did you choose that name for your project?

I see you've asked this before but I like the question regardless.

We are building a platform to protect, manage and monetize creative works.

When you create work, you have a moment of inspiration much like Archimedes had when he devised the buoyancy principle and ran the streets naked shouting Eureka!

Eureka.com was taken so we played with the spelling a bit and ended up with UREEQA!

What are the problems your project is facing? how will you solve it, i really want to know 2 to 3 problems, because me and other investors are very interested!

Robert Eccles

We don't think of them as "problems", but we do have challenges. One of these is that we operate UREEQA strictly "by the books" to comply with legal and financial regulations from bodies like the SEC in the US. This is one of the reasons you aren't seeing us on a huge number of exchanges yet. We have to be very selective in who we work with.

Please, can you explain briefly the difference between Validators and Protectors within the Ureeqa ecosystem in terms of the roles that each play? How does Ureeqa rate the actions of Validators to determine the most reliable as well as the least reliable validator?

Rakan Aown

Validators assess creative work for authenticity and originality. Protectors are out there ensuring creative work is not fraudulently created. Our validators go through an interview process, are tested for their capabilities to determine their ability to produce. Our validation process is tiered in that once a validator submits their results on a piece of creative work, it is assessed by a committee to ensure accuracy. If the committee gives it their stamp, the validation goes through. If it appears the validation is inaccurate, it will not go through and the validator is penalized. It could also lead to termination. This is our bread and butter and our room for error is very, very slim.

Can you explain a bit about how sponsorship works?

I'm confused to learn it.
For example, if I create a digital painting and I send it to the market, how will the sponsorship affect me? thank you

Great question Daisy!

What we've found is that many Creators want their work Validated but can't pay the fee.

Sponsorship allows UREEQA or our community to pay for the Validation in exchange for a custom item (eg NFT of the item), UREEQA Reward Points (that can be used to buy items in our Vault) and recognition on your Package of Proof that we sponsored it

We self-funded to start and then did a fully compliant "raise" that included fiat investment from traditional investors. Many of the high profile creators that we work with have little to no knowledge about crypto - that's another benefit of UREEQA - we advise and our clients as well.

🌼 Could you explain what the concept of Responsible Mining is about? Are you the first to implement it? I would also like to know how this influences the final cost of an NFT? Does it make it more valuable?

We've Trademarked the term Responsible Minting.

We mint NFTs using our Responsible Minting Technology.

This means that unlike any other NFTs, ours are only minted once there is a Master Validated NFT backed by a robust and public Package of Proof like this:

🟢 Can you explain the process for accessing the UREEQA Premium Protected Collection? Will it be restricted to certain locations initially? Will it be too expensive? Will it only be accessible to creators already with some capital? Or can any enterprising artist easily create their own?

Items that have passed both Level 1 Protection (Staking - saying it's yours) and Level 2 (Validation - Proving it's yours) will enter the Premium Protected Collection.

If you can't / don't want to pay for Validation, you can opt to have UREEQA or the community Sponsor the Validation. We will offer that for items that get enough engagement in our Community Feed

NFTs are a great opportunity for companies & brands to engage with their customers, but security is the main threats. Most of the company can't provide enough security. So what UREEQA has that can give confidence to the companies & brands to engage with their customers without any fear?

Robert Eccles

This is a great point. One might argue that if someone really wants to steal your work, they can. However, one difference with UREEQA is that we "arm" our clients with a "compelling Package of Proof" that enables them to powerfully demonstrate their connection to the work. So, for example, if you find you work infringed upon and take the infringer to court, a UREEQA client will have that "knockout blow".

All of your staking slots, namely Shakespeare, Mozart and da Vinci are 100% filled. When will they be available? Or do you introduce new slots because they are filled?

Why did you choose Bittrex Global? Is it the only platform where we can buy $URQA?

All three Staking Pools you referenced are full.

We will offer more in the future.

Currently the only CEX we are on is Bittrex Global. As we build volume we will pursue others.

The NFT market has grown significantly over the past years since 2017 as we are currently witnessing a surge in interest focused on various aspects such as designing, trading e.t.c. However, the current state of the NFT market has limitations that hinder its use cases and market reach. And there is also a powerful opportunity in NFTs yet to be tapped. How will UREEQA work on these limitations that hinders the use cases and market reach of NFTs? And what strategies will be used to worm into the powerful opportunities in the NFT market which is yet to be tapped by other competitors?

We are working continuously to add value to this NFT craze. The FAD is the creation and selling of a digital asset. The current phase we are focusing on is the physical experience. Merging the digital with the physical, ensuring consumers are receiving a utility based NFT purchase to be able to engage with the creator. We are also looking at ways to take current archaic platforms (publishing administration organizations as an example) and building out a business model that will actually allow musical artists to see more of the royalty revenues they should be seeing. NFTs are the future as was the Internet when it was first launched. Who knew what we were capable of when the Internet first came out. There is no ceiling at this point for us in this space.

What is the purpose of the "UREEQA Supreme Council"? when is the right time to join? and how? are there certain conditions?

Harsch Khandelwal

The UREEQA GRAND COUNCIL (or the UGC) comes with top tier benefits as the elite members are stakeholders and vital to our internal dialogue around business direction. It’s only for those holding 100,000 or more URQA tokens.

The UGC will communicate with each via an exclusive Telegram group but also have direct access to the UREEQA’s Leadership team. They’ll be able to gain early access to business developments (NDAs may apply). Basically, they’ll have a platform to provide input and insight to help shape our decisions and represent the interests of Stakeholders.

Higher scores could give you early access to Validation opportunities or to more sensitive Validations (like for celebrities)
