Q1: Can you introduce yourself to our community?
AnitaHi everyone, I’m Anita, CEO and Co-founder of Blind Boxes.
I was raised in NYC where I studied biomedical engineering at Columbia University. My early career was in the arts, healthcare, consulting in finance. During business school at Yale University, I discovered blockchain.
I began investing in Bitcoin and other crypto projects in 2015. During that time I began blogging and spreading the word about blockchain through my alter ego, cryptonita.
For me it has always been important to introduce the benefits of decentralization to mainstream audiences. In 2017 I joined the founding team of a blockchain startup that was building tech for the film and TV industry.
I have been interested in the NFT space since 2018 when Suz Lee (our current CMO) introduced me to Cryptokitties. Today I am excited to introduce you all to Blind Boxes.

Q2: Can you introduce Blind Boxes to us?
AnitaSure, BlindBoxes is a decentralized gamified curation platform plus launchpad for NFTs.
We have two major products, the marketplace and the launchpad.
For creators Blind Boxes boosts sales, circulation, and hype for their portfolio.
For collectors, our decentralized curation approach allows them to unbox and discover limited edition assets at approachable price points.
For curators, we are providing a new platform for them to monetize their ability to be scouts and tastemakers in this rapidly proliferating NFT ecosystem.

Q3: Let`s now talk about the milestones you have achieved so far and about your upcoming plans?
AnitaTo date, we have successfully completed our fundraising rounds. On March 26 we launched our IDO on BSCPad and Ignition.
The platform token, BLES is now tradable on multiple exchanges.
From the tech perspective we are on track.
Our smart contracts have been audited successfully and the Testnet has been launched. We are looking forward to Mainnet launch later this week.
We are also very excited about the progress we have made from a creative perspective.
To date, we have onboarded over 100 creators and brands to the platform.
The applications and inbound interest have been increasing each date at an impressive rate.
Our artists are diverse and represent expansive communities. 👌

What can token holders of $BLES do with the token?
AnitaBLES has numerous use cases. The primary way to acquire BLES is by opening blind boxes. So when you purchase a box, you get an NFT + BLES. BLES can be staked on the platform to earn APY. BLES can also be used to purchase blind boxes. Finally, BLES gives user the ability to vote in DAO governance issues. Tokenholders also gain the ability to vote in contests. Finally, there will be a burn mechanism to counteract inflation.

AnitaThe major difference to note is that Blind Boxes is not a 1:1 auction marketplace. In fact we’ve designed this platform to address key frictions in the existing NFT auction market. For creators, the issue of discovery and promotion is huge. So often we see artists tokenizing their work, only to never be discovered on huge auction marketplaces. For creators, Blind Boxes increases direct sales and ongoing royalties for their portfolio. For collectors, the standard auction framework often makes markets inaccessible to mainstream buyers.
Also, it can be difficult to find exceptional works of value in over crowded marketplaces. There is also the rampant issue of wash trading. A market manipulating practice that is rampant in the NFT space. Blind Boxes’ curated mystery box framework paves the way for mainstream adoption by removing frictions and market inefficiencies seen in traditional marketplaces. Let’s talk about how we accomplish this:

AnitaDecentralized curation is at the heart of our platform. Unlike other platforms, where a secret committee decides which artists get to be displayed, with Blind Boxed the curators are public. Curators are the ones crafting and launching Blind Boxes collections. In fact, anyone can be a curator, even artists. We have been targeting celebrities, subject matter experts, art gallerists, and brands to be curators. Curators have the power to choose artists from the roster of artists or they can bring new artists into the platform. Curators will be important promoters and recruiters for the site. Since they earn a nice commission on the sale of their entire collection, curators are incentivized to create balanced, high quality collections.
Also 2 of our advisors have strong backgrounds in the fine art space. We will be announcing these advisors and showcasing their impressive backgrounds in the coming weeks
Cryptodiffer CommunityMy question is about your long term marketing plans. How, or through which big partnerships do you plan on utilising to pass your product onto the normal - especially non-crypto people?
AnitaTo date we have already started announcing partnerships within the art, entertainment, gaming and DeFi arena. Last week for example, we announced an exciting collaboration with Star Atlas. You can expect to see more and more of this flavor of brand partnerships in the coming weeks and months. We are also inking partnerships with projects that can provide after market services for our users. For example last week we announced a collaboration with dART a cool project that provides insurance on NFT assets. To reach a more mainstream audience, we are already targeting huge brands (luxury, household names) within fashion, art, music, gaming, and entertainment. Cryptodiffer Community🍀 How is Blind Boxes financially supported? Is it profitable for artists to publish content on this network? Do You apply a % platform fee?
AnitaFrom the sale of an entire collection, Blind Boxes takes a flat fee of 5%. Indeed it can be quite profitable for artists to post on the platform. Our whole goal is to boost direct sales, circulation, and hype for NFT creators. When a creator participates in in a blind boxes collection, they directly receive proceeds from their contribution to the collection. Also, we have an attractive incentive structure for curators. In this way we want to be a platform where curators can go to monetize their talents as well.
Cryptodiffer CommunityWhy will only $ 100M BLES tokens be minted? Will this amount be increased later? Will new $ BLES be printed on the market?
How will projects seeking grants from the Blind Box foundation get these grants? Which projects and which users will be awarded?
AnitaWe have a cap on minting to prevent dilution of token value over time. This amount will not ever be increased and no new BLES will ever be minted, outside of the 100M BLES. Grants will be distributed based on the discretion of an internal committee. This committee will be comprised of thought leaders and subject-matter experts.

AnitaYes, our CMO @DeFiGravity is working with our marketing team to develop a fun yet comprehensive user guide to help users understand the platform and its benefits
Cryptodiffer CommunityMarketing is a central element for every project, so that everyone know the potential that a project can bring is vital to achieve the goals set. What is your strategy to attract new users and investors to your project and keep them long term?What is your top 3 things for priorities in 2021? Could you share some plans for the upcoming year?
AnitaMarketing is as important as executing on the product strategy. We have a roadmap ahead that includes timely updates and upgrades to the product. Along the way we will be utterly transparent with our community. You can expect to hear lots of news from us on a weekly basis. Partnerships will play a key role in our strategy as well. As I mentioned, we are already building and cementing collaborations with exciting projects across crypto, NFT, art, music, gaming, fashion, entertainment and tech. Confirming these partnerships and announcing them to our communities will certainly help us reach broader mainstream audiences.
Cryptodiffer CommunityWhat is the mission of BLIND BOXES in the competitive market of cryptocurrencies? And what marketing strategies are you willing to use to achieve greater adoption?
AnitaOur mission is to increase sales, exposure, and hype for NFT creators. Creators come in all categories, from independent artists to established brands. To support this mission, we have the marketplace, which we have discussed already. As well as the Launchpad. With Blind Boxes Launchpad, creators can host decentralized crowdfunding campaigns. During these highly publicized events, creators sell customized ERC-20 tokens to raise funds to support the creation of future NFT projects. For collectors, this feature allows collectors to be early investors and direct supporters of creators. It also enables them to earn passive income from the sales of the creator’s future work. In this way we are providing differentiated value for both creators and collectors.
Cryptodiffer CommunityWhat do we earn for referring other users to your platform?
AnitaThe best way to directly monetize your ability to bring users to the collection is ... to curate a collection! If you recognize talented artist or brands, you can create a collection and invite them to join it. You can choose from our roster when making a collection, or you can recruit artists from outside the platform. As a curator, you will earn a commission (between 5% -30%) on the sale of the entire collection. This commission is decided by you and is transparent for the artists. For example, if you curate a collection of 20 NFTs and each NFT costs 1000 USDT, you could take home 15% of 20,000. That would be pretty cool👍
