Binance announced June 3 the closure of its centralized NFT service effective July 3, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, marking the end of an era as the last major centralized exchange to exit the NFT marketplace business. NFT market volumes collapsed from $50B+ in 2022 to approximately $5.5B in 2025 and ~$1.2B annualized in 2026. Nifty Gateway (Gemini), Kraken NFT, and X2Y2 all shut down in the same period. Binance pivots toward US stock trading, bStocks tokenization, and DeFi yield products.
