SharpLink Joins Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 Indexes
SharpLink, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBET) is the second-largest corporate holder of Ethereum, holding approximately 873,000 ETH (~$1.8B) as of post-Q1 2026 results. Backed by Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin (Consensys CEO), the company rebranded from SharpLink Gaming in February 2026 to become an institutional-grade Ethereum treasury platform. Effective June 29 after market close, SBET enters both the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 indexes following FTSE Russell's annual reconstitution. The Russell indexes have approximately $12.2T in benchmarked assets, meaning index-tracking funds must now buy SBET shares. Strategy mirrors MicroStrategy's ETH-focused equivalent.
