Canton Protocol 3.5 Mainnet Upgrade
Canton Network is a privacy-enabled institutional L1 blockchain processing $1.5 trillion monthly in repo transactions, backed by DTCC, Broadridge, Goldman Sachs, BNY, and 30+ major financial institutions. Protocol 3.5 introduces the Logical Synchronizer Upgrade (LSU) — allowing the network to upgrade its core protocol version without pausing transaction processing for the first time. This eliminates downtime for institutions running live settlement applications. DevNet testing runs in May, MainNet targets June 2026. Aligns directly with the DTCC tokenized Treasuries pilot launching mid-2026.
