Following testnet validation in late May, Berachain activates PoL Next on mainnet in late June 2026. The upgrade fundamentally changes Berachain's tokenomics: BGT is deprecated, all incentive and emission value consolidates into SWBERA, and the ERA program begins routing structured emission streams to high-growth ecosystem teams. Each BERA emitted via ERA must return a minimum fixed yield to Berachain, plus a perpetual revenue share, creating a sustainable flywheel for the ecosystem. BERA holders and SWBERA holders benefit from every new team funded through ERA.



Berachain is a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain that utilizes a novel Proof-of-Liquidity consensus mechanism, aligning network security with liquidity provision rather than traditional staking or mining.
