Over Protocol Sunsets due to Financial Constraints
The Over Foundation has announced the sunset of Over Protocol, citing financial constraints and the discontinuation of its core infrastructure and services.
Operations for OverWallet, OverNode, OverFlex, RPC endpoints, block explorer, and APIs have been shut down, with no plans for restoration.
While Over Protocol remains a decentralized Layer 1 network by design, the loss of foundation-operated infrastructure makes continued chain activity unlikely in practice.
Future block production now depends entirely on independent validators running the open client software, but the Foundation stated it cannot direct or guarantee continued network operation.

Fraction AI Launches Index for AI Perpetuals Trading
Fraction AI has introduced Index, a platform for building and deploying AI agents for perpetual futures trading, allowing strategies to be created, tested, and executed without traditional development infrastructure.
The system structures trading logic across parameters such as entries, exits, leverage, position sizing, and risk controls, then runs historical backtesting to evaluate performance across different market conditions and identify weaknesses in execution.
Index also supports an iterative optimization process, where strategy variants are compared, refined, and improved over time before being deployed into live markets.
The product targets traders and operators seeking systematic execution and strategy automation.

DeFi United unveils plan to restore rsETH after $292M hackLed by Aave, dozens of DeFi protocols contributed funds to the DeFi United initiative to mitigate the wider industry impact, raising over $300M in ETH. The restoration process involves converting ETH into rsETH in tranches, which will then be transferred to the affected lockbox contract, allowing the bridge to securely resume operation.
A key concern is that deployment of the restoration plan is contingent on finalizing agreements and obtaining governance approvals, during which the attacker could attempt to interfere.

Project Eleven Awards 1 BTC Quantum Security PrizeIndependent researcher Giancarlo Lelli received 1 BTC “Q-Day Prize” for successfully breaking a 15-bit elliptic curve cryptographic key using publicly accessible quantum hardware, marking the largest public demonstration of a quantum attack on ECC to date.
The result represents a 512x improvement over previous public demonstrations, signaling that the technical barriers to such attacks are gradually decreasing.
However, the demonstrated attack targeted a simplified 15-bit key, far below the 256-bit cryptography used in real-world systems, indicating that threats to live networks remain distant for now.
