yes, my name is Will Gomez - head of strategy at Ethermon. Been with the team for well over a year now.

Ethermon is an NFT project that's been around since 2017! We're focused on pioneering new elements in a play to earn economy by franchising elements of our game.

Q3: Let`s now talk about the milestones you have achieved so far and about your upcoming plans?

Several milestones such as having about 12,000 Ethermon holders at the moment! Sticking around since 2017 has allowed us to reach an incredible community of players.
- New franchsing mechanic where players can earn revenue generating NFTs that are deployable in Decentraland.
- Acquired a District 668 parcels worth an estimated $6M USD in Decentraland.
- NFTs are on their way to deployed on L2 on Polygon (Matic)!

Ethermoon has been in the crypto space since 2017, making it one of the longest standing NFT projects. Could you tell us what you would refer to as the most difficult challenge involved in building a unique NFT project as yours? For you to have lasted this long in the industry, I'm sure you have a secret recipe you use, if you don't mind sharing it with us?

Will Gomez

The biggest challenge by far has been maintaining an engaging play to earn game. Most important to us has been balancing free to play mechanics without being overpowered by whales who pay to win. The secret sauce has been listening to the player base who is intimately aware of the ever-changing blockchain gaming space and innovating where we see opportunities - such as franchsising elements so that we attract a new gamplay type of users that can earn as Ethermon grows.

Ethermon which was formerly known as Etheremon has an existing token called $EMONT (created before the team reformation and rebrand). So why was there need to create a new token $EMON? Will the $EMON token now replace the $EMONT token or the Ethermon platform will have to operate on two different tokens?

Such a great question. Glad you asked. $EMONT will convert to $EMON at a 1:4 ratio. The need to upgrade our smart contracts because many of the new elements of our gameplay were not compatible with our old smart contracts. So we needed to start brand new with popular ERC20 standards.

Q. Can you tell us the difference between MARKS & EMONT? Are both your native token or what role does each play in the District?

Will Gomez

Marks is an off-chain token that can be earned in Decentraland. This token will play a critical role in the play to earn economy without the friction of waiting for on-chain transactions. Marks will be what you earn in Decentraland and can use to purchase other gameplay items and loot. EMON will serve as a token for much more valuable loot. All of this will be explained in upcoming announcements.

One of the lacks of work with NFTs based on Ethereum are the huge transactions fees, so considering that Ethermon is a platform that has a lot of transactions per day, how you affront these commissions? Have you considered integrate more chains or 2 layer like polygon?

Will Gomez

Absolutely. We've integrated with Polygon (Matic) for $EMON as well as our NFTs. As a matter of fact, we'll make an announcement in the coming days of when this is available.

People like to invest on the projects which they believe and more importantly where they fill like in a family. Community connections has a key role nowadays for a successful project. My question is, what are your plans to create a CORE COMMUNITY?

What are the mainly active SOCIAL MEDIA accounts of Ethermon?

Will Gomez

Community is everything. Franchising elements of our game help us create a bigger family that help grow our game at an extremely fast rate. These revenue generating NFTs allow for a deeper integration with the community in ways that were not possible before. We have active social media accounts on Twitter @Ethermon_NFT and Telegram

I tried to reach Ethermon website using my mobile phone but was shown mobile not supported yet that I should use desktop. Why is it like that and when will you support mobile phone?

Will Gomez

Our main games are either on the desktop 2D game on our website Ethermon.io or our 3D game in Decentrland. We'll be creating a mobile ready website and later on a mobile game! We are a multi-platform NFT game after all! Stay tuned for more!

NFT is considered the next trend so HOT right now of the crypto industry after DeFi. Could Ethermon share your opinion about NFT? Where do Ethermon see the future evolution of NFT features and capabilities in the next few years?

Will Gomez

Such an interesting questions. I have several opinions here. None more important than I think NFTs will largely move to a more a utlity for factor. Right now NFTs are largely for art, but with NFT games evolving fast we're starting to see a huge utility start to spawn. For example we have revenue generating NFTs that are deployable in Decentraland. These revenue generating NFTs are core to the gameplay in the 3D metaverse and we think revenue generating NFTs will be the next great craze - just like we saw with art.

Many decentralized system that are unreliable and slow. How does #Ethermon aim to build a more trusted and feasible ecosystem? And do you have any workarounds for the gas issue from scaring away new people into the NFT gaming world?

Will Gomez

Now that we're on Polygon (Matic) we're able to create the game we had envisioned. Without those pesky transaction fees, we're able to leverage the liquidity and the security in Ethereum. Some of our gameplay such as Marks (found in Decentraland) are off-chain only because this is a heavy mineable component which will be a persistent gameplay element in the metaverse. Where did inspiration help you create Ethermon? What makes Ethermon more special than any other platform?

Will Gomez

We're all here because of blockchain. I'm sure everyone can agree that when you compare the stickiness of a traditional game to that of a blockchain based game - there are a lot more reasons to stick around blockchain games because you can accrue actual tradable assets. What makes Ethermon special is the fact that you can be intimately integrated into our game through the franchise model. NFTs that generate you revenue will be the key driving force of our game.

Which new technologies in the blockhain industry, Decentraland or in general will help Ethermon the most? (VR, Layer 2, Web3, DAO, or completely others)

Where does the money in play to earn concepts come from? I guess from the player base itself? Doesn't this mean that the community needs to continuously keep growing to keep up the playing rewards, since new capital is only coming from new players?

Will Gomez

VR, Layer 2, Web3, DAO - all of these will play a role and all will be incorporated in one way or another as we expand the gameplay.

Play to earn mechanics reall spawn from the ability to mine as a core gameplay. We want to reward players that interact with the game persistently. So you'll be able to jump into Decentraland (with a free Mon too) and start battling an enemy called Slime for Marks and other rare loot that drops from winning battles. Then eventually battle each other's mons for even more rare loot. Each Mon has its own progression with levels and some can eventually transform into new Mons! The goal is to level up, battle and earn through the gameplay!

What are the big prizes on Ethermon and can we compete with bigger prizes with other players? Can we even invite our friends to the platform with reference?

How are competitions and tournaments organized? Can we organize tournaments on the platform?

You'll be able to run events from within Decentraland. We're testing some battle mechaincs in the world as we speak. Once we've battle tested some new mechanics, you'll be able to set Battle events on your own. We'll be setting events ourselves as well. Much more details around this will come as we finish off some new gameplay battle mechanics.

Currently, many gaming #NFT platform projects are emerging. In what way will Ethermon be unique and competitive in this niche?

Will Gomez

Since we're leveraging the different platforms (2D website game, 3D in Decentraland, and eventually mobile platform) - We're able to exist in a medium where our players are - all using the same exact assets. On top of that, our franchsing model allows our community memebers to earn since they own a major portion of our gameplay mechanics - such as the Garden Bed, Egg Nest, and Wild Grass Meta that are all deployable in Decentraland.

As Education for crypto currency is necessary nowadays , what’s your plan to to attract those people who don’t know about cryptocurrency?

Will Gomez

I think the best way to attract players into cryptocurrency is by aligning what they're used to with traditional games (like griding in WoW or Diablo) with grinding for tradeable assets. I think there's no question what players would rather do with their time once they're introduced to blockchain gaming compared to traditional games. You either trade your time for nothing or trade your time for assets.

what are the advantages of the Ethermon project compared to most projects currently on the market? Will there be some innovation?

Will Gomez

Running a District in Decentraland is a major advantage. Our district has an estimated value of $6M at the moment. As Decentraland grows the more valuable land gets. Another advantage is our franchising model which we believe will become standard in blockchain gaming.

Too many projects promise magic but never release any working product or prove any revenue, Within a short/long time of release. Is your project also like this? If not can u tell us, What makes your project different from other projects?

Will Gomez

We have a current product at the moment both in our 2D game on our website and 3D realm in Decentraland. Many have generated revenue in Decentraland right now and the game is being expanded on by our dev team. Many more franchsing elements coming in the pipeline.

Most investors are only interested in the short-term benefits of the project. What potential does Ethermon have to attract long-term investors to invest in the project?

Will Gomez

I think Play-to-earn plays a major role in the longterm aspects of any game. Compared to traditional games, play to earn has a stickiness that will soon be recognized by the wider gamer community that isn't currently interacting with blockchain right now. In addition, franchsing model allows us to attract a playerbase that is looking to grow with the project. Since our franchising assets are tradable, the game con persist for a very long time as new generation of players come in.

What is business model of your project? How it works? and Who are your potential customers and which markets are you targeting on?

Our business model is largely play-to-earn based. Franchising our game allows us to include players at a deeper level since they are hosting a portion of the game itself.

Your foundation idea is very new, so it takes a lot of formula and takes a long time to develop. This must have a tricky point for you? Do you agree that the strength of the community will lead your project to grow globally?

absolutely. We've galvenized the community by allowing them to own a portion of our game to where they can earn revenue. This is huge for the NFTs space as a whole.

What effort is Ethermon making in ensuring it deliver a fun and rewarding game experience for everyone in the Ethermon community? Can anyone play your game and what benefits do you offer players on your platform?

Will Gomez

The entire team at Ethermon are players ourselves. We know we need to make an engaging and rewarding game. We're so close to our community since the community owns pieces of the game, so the feedback from them is taken very seriously. The benefits offerred are largely play-to-earn. Those deeper in the game can own aspects of the game such as a Garden Bed that allows the owner of the Garden Bed to sell food to other players. Essentially players can own their own Ethermon business as an NFT if you will.

NFT is of course a hot topic, but are NFT not just for art. Does Ethermon think that more real world use cases will emerge for NFTs as time goes on, why should we take NFTs seriously?

Will Gomez

NFTs are definitely not just for art. We think NFTs will move towards more utility and usefullness for a given application. We think NFTs for utility will end up having more value since we can apply use cases to an individual NFT. Think about this for a moment, we have businesses as an NFT. Owning an Ethermon Garden Bed or an Egg Nest is a business by itself - as an NFT! Imagine the possibilities.

While you build your project.. do you take into account community feedbacks and demands?What’s role play community on Your project?"

There's nothing more important that community. The community largely directs where we take the game.

Do you plan to add more use-cases to the $ETHERMON token on top of the current one’s?

Will Gomez

We're always looking to add use-cases as we build out additional functionality. The more developed the game, the more use-cases you will see.

Marketing is central to every project, so that people know the potential it has to offer is vital to achieving its goals. What is the strategy of the Ethermon to attract new users and Investors to your platform and retain them for the long term?

Will Gomez

Marketing is everything in blockchain right now. We see great projects with little to no marketing get beat out by weaker products with stellar marketing. One secret sauce that we have is that our player base is not a player base that owns just assets, but they own core elements of the gameplay. They own part the function of the game itself! This has major long term implications that can bleed through generations.

What is the plan to ensure sufficient liquidity on exchanges to fill market orders, especially as adoption increases and clients begin multiplying year-over-year for ETHERMON?

Will Gomez

More details on this soon. Just as we focus on gameplay mechaincs, there are also mechaincs for sustaining sufficient liquidity.

Can you tell me? What is the goal of this #Ethermon project for 2021? and development direction in the coming years? Can you tell us what from this #Ethermon facility?

Will Gomez

The goal for 2021 is to create a sustainable gameplay environment where players can persistently earn by playing the game. A lot of this stems from the community participating in the ownership of the game itself via our franchising model.
