Q1: Can you introduce yourself to our community?

Rob Allen

My name is Rob Allen, I handle a lot of the creative direction and gamification on Aliien worlds. I've been involved in implementing cutting edge technology projects for over 25 years and have been full time on Crypto projects for over 3 years. I successfully managed the eosDAC airdrop and conversion between chains. I've also run game servers on niche platforms.
Morty is finishing up on something else just now and will be along shortly - he has been working on a lot of the creative side and defi elements as well and has a degree in video game design. I'm sure he will add when he gets here.

Q2: Can you briefly tell us what is AlienWorlds in 3-5 sentences?

Rob Allen

One way to view Alien Worlds is that it is a simulation of a new future where humans have had to leave earth (pandemics, climate change etc..) and set up on Alien worlds. In this new reality we have competing planets and everything its tokenised, in NFT form, from the tools people use to the minions their add to their crew to the land they mine.
The first thing people are mining for the provable rare Trilium which forms the basis of the economy. There are also these decentralised aspects where each planet runs as a DAO and all landowners have the opportunity to set things up.
We have this whole metaverse which we have created filled with 6 planets full of land, tools, minions and artifacts. There is a functioning economy which is based around mining Trilium.
One key thing about Alien worlds is the low barriers to entry and play to earn (Trilium) - we think it is probably the easiest onboarding of any blockchain game and there are largely feeless transactions - certainly for new users.

Q3: Let`s now talk about the milestones you have achieved so far and about your upcoming plans

We have managed to get a lot done since the concept first began swirling around about 18 month ago. On a basic level we have Metaverse design
Technical Blueprint out, put out a load of smart contracts and a UI, we have had 4 succesful NFT pack sales and started the whole metaverse economy.
Since our soft beta launch on the 22nd Dec we have grown to over 7k daily users and are often top of the Dappradar games rankings - https://dappradar.com/wax/games/alien-worlds
But we have a huge amount of things coming up - the main ones are on our star route and land roadmap
These are the near term milestones
Nebula events and other quests
Daily Allocation to Landowners claim function to become automated
Land Fund pack opening reward initiated
Planet DAO candidate registrations open
Landowner-specific NFT mining incentive distribution mechanism
Monthly Discord meetups
But soon after wqe will be opening up the thunderdome battles and some great crossovers

Land Upgrades are also going to be interesting
Eventually the aim is to get to a more immesive ecosystem with loads of different types of games and activities plugged into the tokenomic incentives

What are the plans to turn challenges into opportunities for #project DEVELOPMENTS?

Everyone involved in Alien Worlds has been working from home /remotesly for long before Covid and has good Internet connections/equipment - If anything we have been able to get more work done

I think your project has a lot of potential in future. Is there a way I could contribute my quota to the development? How can the community give feedback in regards your existing products or products in its development stage?

We welcome all community feedback. A lot of this happens on discord in our Feedback and suggestions channel. There is also a trello board set up for anyone to provide improvement suggestions and ideas for new features.

Many new projects made a good impression at first but were suddenly abandoned. How will you manage Your project to gain a place in the market and become a best token in the blockchain world?

Rob Allen

I think one advantage is that we are very up front about who we are and what we plan. We have considerably more experienced than most teams and have a lot of personbal stake tied up in the success.

What is the role of the community in the governance of the Alien Worlds metaverse? What power do humans have in the Alien Worlds governance model?

Rob Allen

There are many levels - The federation control the official economic reserves and Official NFTs but the Planets are intended to be fully decentralised and autonomous. They have their own currencies and can supply their own NFTs and other incentives. The Planet Councilos will all be up for election and will be run by humans. All land also can have a degree of automony and is run by Humans

NFT mining is great, but most of them don't work. When will we be able to fully use our NFTs? And how will my NFTs remain in demand in the competitive field as NFT?

Rob Allen

We are purposely roiling out in stages so many of the NFTs will gain more and more ultliity as we go along. The more ulitity, the more demand and we need to balance it up. There will also be a lot of distinct NFT sets coming with different ustility which will decrease the inflation rate of existing ones.

The fighting game will allow explorers to battle using their Avatar and Minions, along with Weapons, in the Thunder Dome arena. How can I participate in this type of game? What happens if I win other players and what happens if my Avatar is defeated?

Morty

The fighting game is still WIP and is not available on the UI yet. When the game launches it will be made as part of the UI for users to participate. The first type of fighting game will be Battle Royale themed game where many minions enter the Thunderdome and only one emerges as a winner.

The winner gets the largest pot (A percentage of the Trilium from the Thunderdome fund and an NFT drop).

Your minions take damage and can be healed via consumables while they fight in the thunderdome. Damaged minion take time to heal, the healing rate can be improved by visiting a hospital (another feature in development). Once healed the minions can be entered into another battle.

Can you indicate a feature or feature that you like best about the platform so that it can compete with other competitors? What are you most confident about for your platform? Do you have plans to get users to choose your platform???

The best 3 features as far as I am concerned are the incentive mechanisms which continually give new things for people to want to come back for - The ability for people to own and do competitions and other experiences on their own land and the Planetary decentralisation which allows for completely new experiences

How could I contribute to the Alien Worlds? Can I build a game based on the Alien Worlds platform? is there an option for me to create my own blockchain based on the Alien Worlds network?

There are many ways, simply getting involved in the community is one, bringing your own community and NFTs is another, One a deeper level we have grant programs for devs to plug other games / activity. IP into the tokenomics

NFT & Gaming is the most famous combination in crypto projects now. But my question is that can we sell this NFT through various NFT auction sites like http://opensea.io.?? Or just mining feature only?

Morty

There are multiple secondary markets available for trading NFTs on WAX. The most popular ones are atomichub.io, collectables.io, waxstash.io

At the moment most projects are using the ERC-721, ERC-1155 or other ERC standards on the Ethereum Network for creating their NFTâ€™s why did Alien world decide that All its NFTâ€™s will Live on the WAX Blockchain. do you mind telling us why Wax Blockchain is being used and the advantage that using this chain for you NFTâ€™s brings

Sure, WAX offers a really good experience with respect to NFTs and smart contracts on WAX can interact directly with attributes. We know that the gas costs on ETH make a lot of transactions practically impossible at scale at this stage. However, we also know that ETH is the place for token security and hence the cross chain mechanisms

How many avatars and equipment does Alien World really have? can users create some with the characteristics they want in exchange for a certain amount of trilium? or that is in charge of DAO?

Rob Allen

At this stage there are 17 avatars, 30 tools, 42 weapons and 24 minions. Soon there will be a number of different artifacts coming on stream. The customisation of avatars held in handled in a later phase

Most platforms have not yet been able to exploit the full potential of the NFT and digital arts, they only have them as tokens of symbolic value. How important are NFTs within your ecosystem? What is their role in this platform now?

Morty

There are 6 categories of NFTs in the Alien Worlds Metaverse at this time.
Land is where you mine and where events can take place and for which there is a whole land roadmap, tools are used to mine Trilium, Weapons and minions will be used in the fighting game(s) and quests and avatars are your face in Alien Worlds.
Artifacts will be brought on line soon and they have a variety of different properties and functions.
NFTs in Alien Worlds are not just static - many can be upgraded to a new shine level and potentially have other utility that hasn't been implemented as yet.

Our NFTs have game play characteristics built in to their attributes. So some land and tools yields more Trilium when you mine it, some produces more NFTs, some can be mined more frequently. In earlier generations of NFTs, they mainly had collectible value – think CryptoPunks which is really cool if are a collector – but now NFTs have attributes recognised by the gaming smart contracts.

NFTs can also have mutable stats and we have already explored the use case of mutable stats within Alien Worlds. For example a health potion with multiple charge, minion health etc. We haven't come across any project which exploits this property of NFTs.

What strategy will you implement to bring non-crypto-natives into your ecosystem? How do you keep a balance between developing the technology and also improving the value of your token?

Rob Allen

Easy onboarding is the absolute key - we require no knowledge or payments upfront and give people what they need to start. As they get going they may want to buy in but that is all part of the rabbit hole.

How did you manage to take the third place in the ranking of games on DappRadar? What do you think attracts new players to Alien Worlds? Do you have a strategy for keeping new players on your gaming platform?

Rob Allen

We vary between 1st and 2nd at the moment. What is attractive is the easy ongoing and the incentives. There is also an amazing community that has sprung up and some groups bring their own communities over to have their own activities going on. The key is always having new things happening and we have an ambitious roadmap and a strong team

What are your thoughts on the current myth that NFT is the future of DeFi? Do you think it's viable and what plans do you have the digital art marketplace? Also can we stake with our NFTs?

Rob Allen

1. NFT is part of the future of Defi (by no means the whole thing but it is an element. 2. We are talking with a lot of artists and will be integrating a strong art component to the metaverse. 3. There are already other platforms where you can stake your alien worlds NFTs. I personally reckon this will be handled by planets in Alien Worlds in a competitive sense.

I just wonder what is Trilium Token use for in Alien World? Can we use Trilium Token to buy Planet/Land in your game? Please explain more about its function in Alien World

Morty

Trilium is the native token of Alien Worlds and is used to stake to Planets and participate in core games. It exists on the Ethereum and WAX blockchains so that users can store Trilium on either chain subject to their preference.

The major uses of TLM are/will be
a) staking for governance of planets and possible rewards,
b) upgrading items (through shining etc..),
c) entry into quests / battles,
d) healing weapons/minions/other items,
e) terraforming and land improvement,
f) internal incentivisation of other activities.

Although ETH 2.0 is delayed again, but it will solve all exist problem of ETH and become the best choise for dApps in future, so do you think this is a threat for your project and how could you overcome this barrier?

Rob Allen

ETH definately will be very important in the future of public blockchain infrastructure but 2.0 is a long way off solving all the issues and once you increase transactions / reduce fees you find it will be heavily spammed. Also 2.0 docking is technically difficult and 2022 is probably optimistic. In the meantime we have things which work and can be bridged in the future.

How do you come up with the name AlienWorld and where do you coin it from?

Rob Allen

The concept has always been to create other planets and have them all work within a common economy. For other planets we looked at exoplanets and then wanted a name which captured that well and I think this does. Also, I like sci fi stuff.

How does the Planetary Government work in Alien Worlds? How can Planet token holders participate in TLM and NFT distribution?

Rob Allen

Planets will be autonomous, and run by their elected planetary councils - Each planet gets TLM every day from the federation (based on the amount of staked trilium and their activity) which they are suppose to use for their planet. This means that it is down to the planet to decide what it wants to do to incentive people to do things on their planet and stake to it. A greedy planetary council may quickly find their revenue ceases up whereas a creative fun planet that intoduces new stuff will find they get rewarded

Note that Alien word has 6 different planets and 20 different types of Land, really what reason to provide those characteristics and those names? are they investos of the founder or some similarity with that observed in studies of other planets?

Rob Allen

The names are of actual exoplanets but the planetary design is really more down the creative team

Currently players can only get TLM from mining or promo packs, I want to know if you have plans for larger sales to players/explorers?

Rob Allen

There are discussions and pplans around this but nothing confirmed. That said, we always want to make sure the demand and supply elements are well balanced.

What is the most ingenious way to make money playing Alien Worlds? What should my approach be from the start? Becoming the owner of a planet or several if possible? Or what precisely??

Rob Allen

Do something no one else is doing. Creating you own NFTs and gamification linking in with the current tokenomics and community is the ultimate.
